What it is

A once-daily drop for the low, heavy eyelid.

Acquired ptosis is common with age, long-term contact lens wear and after eye surgery: the muscle that holds the lid up loosens, eyes look tired, and the upper field of vision narrows. Upneeq stimulates Müller's muscle, the lid's involuntary elevator, so the lid sits visibly higher. It is a treatment, not a surgery: no downtime, no injections, one preservative-free drop per eye each morning.

Your questionnaire screens for the conditions that need a closer look before Upneeq (narrow angles, heart or blood-pressure conditions, MAOI medications, recent eye surgery), so a doctor, not a checkout page, makes the final call.

Upneeq, answered.

Do I need a prescription for Upneeq?

Yes — Upneeq is prescription-only. The questionnaire you complete after checkout is reviewed by one of our doctors and serves as your telehealth visit. If approved, the prescription ships to you; if not, you are refunded in full.

How fast does Upneeq work, and how long does it last?

Most people see a visible lift within about 15 minutes of one drop. The effect typically lasts 6 to 8 hours, so one morning drop covers the working day.

Is Upneeq safe? What are the side effects?

Upneeq is FDA-approved and well tolerated. The most common side effects are mild: temporary redness, irritation or dryness. Tell us in the form about heart or blood-pressure conditions, narrow-angle glaucoma risk, MAOI medications, or recent eye surgery. Those need a doctor’s judgment first, which is exactly what your review is for.

Does insurance cover Upneeq?

Usually not — ptosis drops are generally self-pay. Most HSA and FSA cards work at checkout.

What if the doctor says I’m not a candidate?

Your order is not shipped and your payment is refunded 100%. We’ll tell you why, and when appropriate suggest an in-office evaluation instead. Sometimes a droopy lid deserves a closer look.

Can I come in instead of ordering online?

Of course. Call 310-828-2010 or book online and we’ll evaluate your lids in person at 12222 Wilshire Blvd — same drop, same doctors.

How does Upneeq work?

Upneeq is oxymetazoline 0.1%, an eye drop that stimulates Müller’s muscle, a small involuntary muscle in the upper eyelid, so the lid lifts. It is FDA-approved for acquired ptosis (a drooping upper lid) in adults, used as one drop a day.

Can you use Upneeq with contact lenses?

Yes, with a pause: take your contacts out before the drop and wait 15 minutes before putting them back in, per the prescribing information.
